Good Friday At Tidal

I went to the early Good Friday Service at Tidal this morning.  It’s not my home church, but lately whenever I visit family at Easter their church has combined with this one and all the other churches in the city for a unified thing.  I think Tidal is actually Wesleyan, so this unity goes beyond Baptists and denominations as a whole.  So much so that they have two back to back services.

Upon getting there it seemed like we were greeted by everyone, perhaps especially because most of them wouldn’t know us, most likely because churches are generally friendly in this part of the world.  My home church is also like this.

I like it when churches can come together and cooperate, working together on whatever the project is.

They had some sound problems, as a musician myself, I’ve definitely been there before.  I originally thought it was the Lord just being tired of that one song, but then it kept happening.  That did not deter the worship.   We are there for Jesus after all.  Not humans.  At one point they went full acoustic and everything still worked out fine.  The gospel was preached.  People listened.  Communion was had.  I’ve never had that kind of bread before.  That was different.  The “mistakes” and “problems” made for authenticity.   God is in control, not us.  It’s going to be OK.  It was.
