Book Review: The Godfather

I watched the movie a while ago, before I was really into doing movie reviews the way that I do them. Maybe I’ll do a review on the movie soon. That would be long overdue.
The book is very different. Slower than the movie.
The door scene at the end of the movie was just for the movie. In the book Michael says that don’t ask about my business line in bed.
It had been long enough since I saw the movie that I wasn’t just playing it in my head as the book went along. I had my won movie going on, which was much more graphic.
I’m not sure what that says about me.
Wild that Michael could fall in love and marry the girl all in a month. She doesn’t survive, much like real life with rushed relationships.
I still don’t buy that Vito could take 5 shots and survive.
Same with all the disturbing beatings people take.
If you can dig past the murder, unethical behaviour, and violence, there is love for family somewhere. If you’re just a friend, watch out.
It was well written. Some parts were too well written. He’s just doing his job.
Mario did his job.
If I had kids, I wouldn’t recommend it to them.
Still a good book.
