It’s been a long time since I wrote a book review on here, but that is because for a considerable amount of time I have been reading through a Philip Jose Farmer series The World of Tiers. I find I have to take my time with his books in order to get everything out of them. That’s fine with me. I’m not going to give much away, because it was a fantastic read all the way through and I wouldn’t want to spoil anything. All the classic Farmer elements are there. Strange creatures adventuring with humans, futuristic tech, complex relationships between good and evil, frustrating antagonists, and more. Like I said I don’t want to give the whole thing away. If you are looking for the perfect blend of Science Fiction and Fantasy crossover. I would recommend this entire series to you.
My only lament is that there was not a seventh novel!
Sure, it’s not the newest series out there, but it’s become a classic of the genre, at least in my mind. Many others would probably agree with me.
I usually do these book by book, but these flowed into each to the point where it made more sense to wait until the end.
