This makes yesterday make a lot more sense. If they didn’t like the deal they got last time, what makes people think they will get a better one this time. Will the government give them all their wants and needs to make the job better? Is there going to be some sort of admission that the government can’t handle mail strategy anymore, even though you’d think they would be all over parcel delivery, which is all the rage now. How long are they willing to let this strike last. It is true that they save money in strike mode. If that’s the case, would it possibly make sense to sell off the company and give the postal workers jobs at the other places who have parcel delivery figured out. That would be one giant thing off the government’s shoulders. The postal workers could keep their jobs in the same building, just under different management that cares more about them and knows how to keep unions happy. I don’t know how to solve this problem in real life. I’m just thinking on the fly here. I’m just a regular person that works in a great working environment at my own job. Clearly something is amiss if the postal people are going on strike nationally twice in one year. Somebody has to admit defeat, and it shouldn’t be the folks who know what they are doing day in and day out. There obviously needs to be some sort of different plan going forward. If your workers are happy, you’re going to get better results no matter who you are. Like I said, I’m just a regular person. I don’t know the ins and outs of this thing. I do know that I’m not expecting anything earthshatteringly important any time soon. That’s better than last time.
