Kimi Raikkonen Returns to F1 After Rally And NASCAR Attempts

Kimi Raikkonen is officially going back to Formula 1 racing (according to www.jayski.com) after being absent from it since the 2009 season.  Raikkonen had taken a break from the F1 series to pursue other possibilities in racing as he had thought that after becoming the drivers champion inn the 2007 season that he had accomplished all he could in F1.

Raikkonen wanted a change.  So after the 2009 season, Raikkonen left to pursue World Rally Racing.  Raikkonen would drive for the famous Red Bull brand and team.

After some success there in 2011 Raikkonen wanted to try NASCAR.  He made one start in the Camping World Truck Series, finishing 15th and one start in the Nationwide series…let’s just say that his luck was not as good.

2012 will mark a return to F1 for Raikkonen and hopefully a return to dominance.  You don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.  Man that guy has driven a lot of different race cars.
