SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Phoenix Racing announced Monday that in addition to running the complete Sprint Cup Series schedule with Kurt Busch, it will field the No. 1 Chevrolet in a limited amount of Nationwide Series races, starting at Daytona.
“Everyone at Phoenix Racing is excited about competing on the Nationwide circuit this year,” said Steve Barkdoll, general manager of Phoenix Racing. “Our Nationwide Series team is a proven, winning organization and we’re looking forward to Busch continuing the tradition. This is a great opportunity for a company to partner with a top-notch program.”
Phoenix Racing ran its first NNS race in 1989. Since then, the organization has collected 12 wins, 61 top-fives and 150 top-10 finishes in NNS competition. The team is looking to run “all major events.”

This could be very good for Kurt as he will get more seat time in those cars….and more seat time means he will become familiar with them. This increases his chances of winning.
