I remember being so pumped to see this in theaters when it came out. I thought it was great for the time. Christian Bale, the man himself, Michael Cane, faithful butler who knows everything, Morgan Freeman, The Batman version of “Q.” That…other girl who’s name I can’t remember. she did well too. And Liam Neeson as the bad guy. It’s a good place to start, a good origin story. The gadgets are super fun. Who cares that he doesn’t have any actual super powers. The truth of it is that this movie could have been over in 20 minutes if Christian Bale had dropped Liam Neesen off the cliff, but then we’d miss out on all the super hero fun that, without spoiling anything, is this movie. And where would Batman be without Gordon helping him save the day. Good use of time.
