The only reason these movies weren’t one movie is because nobody would sit there for 5 hours while Steve and Bucky sorted out their differences from 1945-2000 something. If you like being in the army, this is totally your jam. I think I’ve seen both of these movies too many times at this point. Since I can fall asleep in the middle and still pick it up were I wake up. The other reason I’m combining these is that I’m really far behind on movie reviews.
If you’re a fan of the predictable super hero story, these are the ones for you. Steve just has to do the right thing, which makes him the obvious choice to be friends with if you want somebody who has your back. Nothing guy gets rejected from the army because he is too weak but get selected to have super powers so he can fight Nazis more easily than anyone else. His best friend becomes the big villain he has to solve things with over the course of both of these movies.
I liked it better the frst time when I didn’t know anything about the story and thus couldn’t nap through it because I wanted to know how it ended.
