Movie Review: John Wick
- He really loved that puppy.
- The puppy was my favourite part.
- I tuned out after the puppy was killed.
- The night clerk at the hotel was cool.
- Strobe lights are terrible.
- KR had a lot of self control. The other guys and girls didn’t have a lot of vocabulary to express their big feelings. It’s not like I have virgin ears Maybe that’s a problem with most people these days. They end up using the same words and phrases over and over again until they lose all meaning and edginess. There are a lot of people with a lot of pain and that’s the only way they can get a pain release is by saying and hearing those same few words. What becomes boring and repetative is absolutely necessary for survival. Other people need to hear the words to manage their own pain. Swearing for them is medicine. It’s therapeutic and helps them relax and forget their problems. If they went a day without it, they would hurt themselves, like folks who need to drink all the time to manage their own pain. They also need to hear it so they can feel smart. “Look at that guy. He’s successful and uses the same word over and over again. I’m obviously better than him.” There is a great need for that in society today. I need to put away my own prepuces on these types of things and see things from other folks point of view. - I probably don’t need to watch the others if they’re going to be the same as that one.
