A guy drives a black Pontiac Trans-Am half way across the country and back from Georgia to Texas to help his friend bring back a bunch of Coors beer in a truck. They get relentlessly chased by this obsessed cop. The cop totally deserved to get his car as messed up as it was. He should have let the other jurisdictions handle the chase instead of doing the whole distance himself in areas where he had no authority. Sally Fields is a competent driver. It’s a good thing she was able to stay togehter with Burt Reynold’s character. Really funny. Good use of time.
