November Is The Cruelest Month

T.S. Eliot said April was the cruelest month.  I would have to disagree with him on that.  I like April.   If Eliot lived in my part of the world he would most certainly agree that November is indeed the cruelest month.  November is when the leaves fall off the trees and everything gets cold.  There is indeed “Zero Summer” this time of year as Autumn (and some days Winter) has taken over.  Novembers of the past have been filled with undesirable things such as black ice…which I never see before I slip on it.  It’s not just the weather that makes the month of November cruel, but statistically, for me, November has been my worst month.  I usually slip on black ice at least 10 times during that month (and when you fall on asphalt that’s not fun)  I’ve had surgery twice in that month over the years.  There’s also been the falling out of a few relationships (whether it be friends or something else) that have occurred in that month.  Not to mention the stress of writing 5 papers at once in that month (which I don’t have to worry about anymore, thankfully).  It leaves me wondering what will happen to me this November.  Perhaps this one will be better, It’s starting off quite nicely so far.  Who knows?
