This idea has been floating around the net for some time since the initial news of the firing of Kurt Busch from Penske Racing. The idea was that Kurt Busch may take over the #20 Home Depot Toyota from Joey Logano and then Joey would go to a fourth Gibbs car.
Home Depot has been longing to get back into championship contention since the departure of Tony Stewart from the Gibbs organization. It has been reported that they are not as happy as they’d like to be with the performance of Joey Logano. If Joe Gibbs were open to hiring Kurt Busch, he could elevate that team back to a championship caliber organization. However, this all hinges on whether Joe Gibbs is interested in hiring another Busch. Can you imagine Kurt and Kyle on the same team? That would be sick!
