Springhill was one of the semi finalists in the Kraft Celebration Tour Contest, so Sports Centre came to the little town and did a broadcast right in the Lions Park….and since Kraft was sponsoring it there was plenty of food (that people kept trying to give away). There was also an open air salad but I avoided that. No telling who sneezed on it. Everyone was having a blast though.
The coolest moment of the whole thing was that as Kraft representatives were presenting the $25,000 cheque to the community, God suddenly steals the show with a rainbow (He makes those, you know?) and nobody was paying attention to anything else at the time…until it disappeared.
Also it was interesting seeing places I walk by in my day to day life on TV after I went home to watch it.
