W1 Chapter 6: White As Snow

Kory fumbled around searching through containers.  All he could find were regular things that a ship would need.  Nothing suspicious what so ever.

“This must be really boring for Oedipus, sitting in that little room waiting for updates from me.”  Kory said to himself.

He had to find another way.  Kory looked around for someone who looked to be on edge.  Someone who let on that he knew more.

He saw a guy biting his nails as he stood watch over the rail of the ship.

“Hey buddy!”  Kory asked.  “Do you know where the stuff is?”

The unsuspecting, yet knowledgeable deck hand winked at him and lead them both on a confounding maze of an adventure into the bowels of the ship.  There before them was a room as white as snow.  Like Narnia, only sinister.

“Do you want some?”  The deck hand asked.

“No thanks, bud.  I just wanted to know where it was.  We should get back to work.  It would be the responsible thing to do.”  Kory suggested.

On his way back through the maze Kory initiated the mic.

“Hey Oedipus.  Send in the helicopters and beam me out of here, or whatever you do.  I found us the stuff.”

:Excellent!”  Oedipus replied.

In the blink of an eye Kory was sitting before Oedipus.

“Thanks to your efforts we have been able to stop more people from doing bad things.  What did you think of that?”  Oedipus said.

“It didn’t take very long.”  Kory replied.

“Be thankful for the easy days.  They’re not always like that.”  Oedipus explained.  “You used your head and were efficient.  This is exactly what we want here at WRAITH.”

“I’m glad you liked that.’  Kory said.

“I would be happy to keep you on if you want to stay.”  Oedipus said.

“That would be pretty awesome.”  Kory said.

“Looks like your subway days are over.”  Oedipus said.

“So, what’s next?”  Kory asked.

“Wait and see.”  Oedipus said with a smile.
