Scientists have urged residents of the Earth to reflect on policies covering the management of population as well as on reducing the consumption of natural resources.
Experts remind us that from 1960 to 1999 the population of the planet doubled. At the same time, thousands of plant and animal species have become endangered or extinct.
The conditions of life on Earth are growing more complicated with each new generation.
According to UN projections, by 2023 the world’s population will have reached 8 billion people with the greatest population growth occurring in poor countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
