“You’re my hero!” “You inspire me every day.” Sometimes, I hear these sorts of comments. They always strike me as strange. I’m just doing the same sorts of things you would do when you have to deal with this sort of thing in the future. People don’t always stay the same throughout life. “But, you have such an obvious trajectory staring you in the face every day. What are you going to do when you go completely blind? How are you going to deal with that?” The truth of that is God is going to take care of me for as long as He wants to on this earth, so I really don’t have anything to worry about. He takes care of people who don’t even want to know Him, so I’ll be in pretty good shape, I imagine. It might not look like that on the outside. I’m not a hero. You’d do the same thing. “What if you end up living your whole life alone?” Nobody is truly alone. You can always make friends if you try hard enough. It is, and won’t be as bad as you think. It’s good to make plans, but to constantly worry about the future in a negative way will never solve anything. We dob’t need to be afraid of every little thing.
