I don’t know a lot about him. I thought Cannons was cool as a song. My first intro to Phil Wickham. Then after that all his songs sound the same and I stopped paying attention. I’ve never seen the Chosen either. Gotta be careful all the time. It’s hard to remember who hangs around with who. Especially when you are in local Church world and not Mega Church World.
I don’t know if it’s so much the music as it is who’s hanging out with who. Sometimes, it is the lyrics. It’s always good to pay attention to the lyrics though. We can easily end up singing a lot about ourselves. Then there’s the songs where we make deals with God.
Hopefully Phil comes back around. Nothing is impossible for the Lord.
