The only way God will really be able to do anything with our lives as we follow him is to have Him take control of us. It’s not as crazy as you might think. After all Jesus Christ bought us back out of sin and slavery when he died and rose again so that we could choose to have a relationship with God. Part of that relationship involves cooperating with God and trying not to hinder Him as he accomplishes his will in our lives. In order for God to do that fully, we as Christians must surrender our lives and allow God to take total control of us. In the long run God does have our best interests at heart…even though they may not be what we think they are…but we can live much more truly fulfilling lives if we surrender what we want and let God take total control.
