I went out with some friends, to wander around town and hand out brochures to people about the Alpha program that our church will be starting next week. The Alpha program serves to introduce non-believers to the basics of the Christian faith. It also serves to help the faith of current Christians become stronger.
I was expecting total hostility toward us, but nobody we visited rejected us as we explained the program to them and they found out that it was being hosted in our church (which means they would have to actually come inside). Some weren’t interested, but they weren’t annoyed with us.
Door to door sort of things aren’t as scary as I thought.
So why don’t more of us do them.
We have the greatest story ever told.
