This probably would have fit in better during the section where I originally talked about my travels, but I didn’t think of it then. It was August 2005. I’m 16 years old. My family and some of the extended ones decide they all want ot go camping in Newfoundland. First we have to get there. We drive what seems like forever to get to Sidney where the ferry is to take us over to Newfoundland. During our time in Sydney, Dad showed us where he used to live. That night in the hotel we witnessed one of the more memorable thunderstorms of my lifetime. The next morning we start the crossing on the ferry. This is not a short department of transportation ferry. This thing takes 4 hours, and it’s in stormy seas. So many people were throwing up. I didn’t, but I was definitely glad to get off the boat. Camping and walking the trails was fun. We were in tents. My grandpa was my roommate. He was a good roommate on several trips. The Fjords were cool too. Mary Browns Chicken. Seeing that moose from a long distance away. Classic times. Now that I know how to make custom routes in Google Maps, I want to go back to the other chapters and make maps for those too, for when I’m old and senile looking back on this.
