I didn’t see this coming, honestly when he was leading on the last lap I thought he would get punted out of the way. However, Carl Edwards went with him and allowed Trevor to pick up a very unexpected win. People who used to exclaim “Trevor Who?” will do so no longer. T. Bayne is now a Daytona 500 champion, in his first ever attempt too, Bayne becomes only the second driver to pull that off. (The first was Lee Petty, who happened to win the first race they ever had there.)
This guy is on a limited schedule for the legendary Wood Brothers Racing (#21) team, maybe they’ll think about keeping him around
